At Golden Hour Marin, we celebrate our local landscape with luxurious, sustainably made apparel. We have high expectations for the design and quality of apparel as well as a strong desire to give back to the education community in the Bay Area.
Our Story
Before creating Golden Hour Marin, I was a Bay Area educator. I started my career as a 7th grade English teacher in a Title I middle school and throughout my career served in various school-based roles, most recently a high school principal in Richmond, CA. Teachers are the cornerstone of an effective school and we feel strongly that we must do everything we can to support them.
The NEA (National Education Association) reported that 97% of U.S teachers last year stated that the budget their school gives them for supplies is not enough. In the 2024-25 school year, the average teacher spent $500-900 of their own salary on school supplies. When I was a teacher, I was easily spending that amount per month. With education cuts and rising inflation, this problem is only getting worse.
At Golden Hour Marin, we are committed to donating a percentage of our sales each month to fulfilling Donors Choose projects for Bay Area teachers.
